Today is the first match of the 2015 Tournament of Books quarterfinals and it pits The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell against A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James.
Both of these sound like really excellent books! ABHoSK sounds like a tough but very worthwhile read and TBC seems like it has an excellent main character who weaves through all the short stories. Have you read either of these selections?
You can check out the judge’s opinion and read full match commentary here. Tomorrow the quarterfinals continue with All The Light We Cannot See facing off against The Paying Guests. Have you read either of those and are you rooting for one over the other? Also, if you didn’t see my post last week, Powell’s is offering 30% off the 2015 ToB selections for a limited time!
