30 Day Writing Challenge goals

Day 26: Write about an area in your life that you’d like to improve.

I would like to be in better shape. Granted, this is probably the best shape I’ve been in during my whole life–and I’m thankful for that!–but I’d like to be fit. I don’t need to be “Linda Carter from Terminator II” ripped (although I wouldn’t complain) but currently I’m not “fit”, I just weigh less than I did previously.

Monday Motivation (#20)

I’ve been taking some risks lately, primarily with my workouts. I purchased a subscription to Classpass, a service that lets you take up to three classes at each participating fitness studio per month (unlimited classes overall but three per studio “brand”). In the last week I’ve taken a Pilates reformer class, two TRX classes, two barre classes, spinning, and “surfset“. They were all challenging in different ways and really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I learned that I love the reformer and TRX classes but also enjoy the balance challenges of surfset, things I may not have tried otherwise.

The theme of today’s ‘Monday Motivation’ is risk. Doing new activities improves your outlook and can expand your horizons in unexpected ways! Find a way to step outside of your comfort zone this week, whether it’s something large or small.
